ACOTAR 6 reached #1 on Apple Books in 27 countries in three days
By Daniel Rahl Jackson · 2 November 2026
Sarah J. Maas's A Court of Splintered Harmony was the number one paid ebook on Apple Books in 27 of the 35 countries BookTrendSpy follows, and it got there within three days of its release on 27 October 2026. It made the top 100 in 34 of the 35; the exception is Japan.
It is the sixth book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series and the first new one since 2021. The figures below cover 21 October, when we began collecting charts, to 2 November.
Charting before release
On 21 October the pre-order was already in the top 100 in 16 countries and in the top 10 in seven. Before release day it briefly reached #1 in Denmark (22 October), Norway (23 and 26 October) and Hungary (25 October).
Release week
On 27 October it was #1 in 22 countries at once. The peak came the next day: #1 in 23 countries and in the top 10 in 31. Slovenia, on 29 October, was the last of the 27. On 2 November it was still #1 in eight: the United States, Australia, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Hungary and Bulgaria.
Where it didn't win
The English edition never reached #1 in Spain, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, France, Italy or Japan. Outside Japan its best positions there ranged from #2 in Peru to #7 in Brazil and Colombia. In Spanish-speaking countries the translation, Una corte de armonía rota, took over: it was #1 in Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru between 29 and 31 October. In Mexico and Argentina both editions had a turn at the top. In Greece the English edition led on release day, and the Greek translation reached #1 on 1 November.
How we count
Positions come from Apple's public top paid ebook chart in each country, collected once a day. Different editions of the same book in the same language count as one book, at their best position; translations count as separate books. Our collector did not receive the charts for Austria and Norway on 31 October, so those two countries have one day less.
What this doesn't tell you
Chart positions are not sales figures, and Apple Books is one store among many. What the charts do show, and no single country's list can, is how widely one book was bought at the same time.
